  • Being a Business Owner: How to balance being a business owner and a therapist as well as creating a practice that supports the lifestyle you desire. They will also learn the basic start-ups to consider.
  • Identifying Your Niche: Discover how to define your unique niche in the market and tailor your services to meet the needs of your target audience.

Tameika Cheek

Tameika Cheek is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the state of Georgia. Tameika is the owner and clinical director of Tameika & Co. Therapy, LLC, a contemporary therapy group practice dedicated to empowering women in cultivating self-esteem as they navigate life’s challenges, transitions, and mental health journeys. Tameika holds a degree in clinical psychology and boasts extensive experience in various mental health treatment settings spanning back to 2009. Transitioning to private practice in 2016 and later expanding into a group practice in 2023, Tameika’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish a thriving, predominantly self-pay practice, prioritizing flexibility, self-care, and work-life balance while nurturing her passion for aiding millennial women. Despite lacking a formal business background, Tameika has successfully realized her aspirations. She also finds joy in supporting and guiding fellow therapists with similar dreams. Beyond her professional endeavors, Tameika cherishes her roles as a devoted mother and wife, raising three children under six with her husband. In her downtime, she revels in crafting memorable experiences with her family, hosting gatherings, exploring new destinations, indulging in home decor projects, and relishing in quality time with her girlfriends.

Keisha Reaves

Keisha Reaves stands at the forefront of mental health advocacy as the owner and clinical director of Push Thru Therapy. A native of Georgia, Keisha has observed the stigma surrounding mental health and has dedicated her career to de-stigmatizing therapy, making it accessible to all. With over sixteen years in the mental health field, she brings a wealth of experience, compassion, and expertise to her role. Keisha earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services from Clayton State University and furthered her education with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology from the University of West Alabama. Her diverse professional journey includes impactful roles such as working with children and adolescents in foster care, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and serving as a part-time adjunct professor at Georgia Highlands College.

Certified in perinatal mental health, Keisha specializes in assisting birthing parents navigating diverse challenges, from fertility issues to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. A dedicated volunteer, she has contributed to Northside Hospital’s Infant Loss/Bereavement Group and served on the Postpartum Support International Georgia Chapter Board as the Training Coordinator.
