Birth Story Processing: Healing Through Storytelling

A 90-Minute Specialty Coaching Session with Keisha Reaves, LPC, PMH-C

Your birth story is sacred — not because it was perfect, but because it was yours.

Whether your birth experience was empowering, confusing, or traumatic, it deserves to be heard, understood, and honored. A Birth Story Processing Session offers a safe, guided space to explore the emotions connected to your birth and begin the journey toward emotional healing.

What This Session Offers

This 90-minute one-on-one session invites you to:

  • Tell your story in your own words, without interruption or judgment.
  • Process unresolved emotions such as fear, grief, guilt, anger, or disappointment.
  • Understand your body’s response to birth trauma or unexpected outcomes.
  • Reframe your narrative from self-blame to empowerment.
  • Develop tools for ongoing healing, self-compassion, and emotional regulation.

Who This Session Is For

This session is designed for:

  • Birthing parents who experienced a difficult or traumatic delivery, such as emergency interventions, NICU stays, or feelings of loss of control.
  • Parents who “should” feel grateful for a healthy baby but are left feeling emotionally unsettled or numb.
  • Individuals who are preparing for another birth after a previous traumatic one.
  • Birth workers or partners seeking to process secondary trauma from witnessing a difficult birth.

What to Expect

Each session begins with grounding techniques to help you feel centered and safe. You’ll be guided through your birth story at your own pace, supported by reflective listening, gentle inquiry, and validation.

Together, we’ll identify emotional blocks, explore meaning, and find closure where needed — allowing you to integrate your experience and reclaim your sense of peace and power.
